The Maynark was powered by the same 250cc 2-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled engine as the Roadking, which produced 16bhp power and 24Nm torque.

For suspension, the bike got telescopic forks with hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.
