Teachers Day Speech In Hindi: Teachers Day Speech

My greetings to all the teachers and my friends.

Today is Teacher’s Day. I wish you all the very best on this day. Teachers are the pillars of our life. He gives his time to enhance our lives and take it forward. Teachers not only give us education but they always try to make us a good person. His words only enhance our lives.

This day is the birthday of the country’s first Vice President and great educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a teacher. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a conductor of Indian culture, an eminent educationist and a great philosopher. Born on 5 September 1888 in Tirumani, a small village in Tamil Nadu, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was nominated for the Nobel Prize 27 times. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1954.

Now let me tell you about the story due to which his birthday was chosen as Teacher’s Day. Once his students respectfully asked him if they could give him a gift on his birthday and celebrate his birthday. On this Dr. Radhakrishnan refused to accept gifts from the students and said that they can celebrate this day as Teachers’ Day. When he later passed away, it was decided to celebrate Teacher’s Day on September 5, his birthday, to pay tribute and honor to him.

Teachers build our society. That’s where our guides are. The place of a teacher is higher than that of a parent. Parents definitely give birth to a child but the teacher shapes his character and lays the foundation for a bright future. Therefore, no matter how old we become, we should never forget our teachers.

Believe me, we will remember the things taught by our teachers at every difficult and good turn of life. Just as a potter gives direction to an earthen vessel, teachers shape our lives.

Teachers are our source of inspiration who always inspire us to move forward.

I would like to end my speech with a nice poetry-

Thank you Guru,
How do I pay
Lakhs of precious wealth,
Guru is my precious

Happy Teachers Day
