Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ tablets seem to be getting closer to release. The company is going through the motions of approving the two tablets before their eventual debut, and to top it all off, a support page for the Galaxy Tab A9 is now live on one of Samsung’s official portals.

First things first, both the Galaxy Tab A9 and the Galaxy Tab A9+ have appeared in the Bluetooth database. The Tab A9+ is ahead of time and actually got listed late last month, but the Galaxy Tab A9 joined it today.

Oddly enough, the certification website mentions Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity for the Galaxy Tab A9 and Bluetooth 5.1 for the Tab A9+. Aside from that, Bluetooth confirms that the Galaxy Tab A9 carries model number SM-X115whereas the Tab A9+ has the SM-X216B designation.

Samsung confirms the Galaxy Tab A9 on its website

Aside from the two tablets showing up on Bluetooth’s website, Samsung spilled the beans on the Galaxy Tab A9 on one of its portals. The SM-X115 model number has a support page reserved for it on the Caribbean portal, and even though the official moniker is unmentioned, Bluetooth has already linked the SM-X115 model number with the Galaxy Tab A9 moniker. So, there are no surprises there.

It’s been more than a year since Samsung released the Galaxy Tab A8, so we’re far past the point where we can consider the possibility that there will be a 12-month gap between it and the Galaxy Tab A9. Time will tell when this tablet and its Plus counterpart will go on sale, but we seem to be moving closer to a release.

The Galaxy Tab A9 was even pictured in a live photo at SafetyKorea back in August, so the device is as real as it can be — not that there was any doubt. We’ll just have to wait for Samsung to lift the veil off these mid-range slates and show us what they have to offer. In the meantime, Samsung is also working on two new Fan Edition tablets, which might be coming to the market in Q4.
