FIFA Will Organize World Cup 2030 In 6 Countries

FIFA World Cup 2030In 2030, the FIFA Football World Cup will celebrate its centenary anniversary, a competition of honor and pride. Now, the World Cup in 2030 will mark its 100th anniversary, and FIFA is planning to return it to its roots.

There are several bids to host the World Cup, with Saudi Arabia being the most notable one. In the earlier stages, it was expected that they would make a bid alongside Greece and Egypt but were defeated by Spain, Morocco, and Portugal.

But these aren’t the only three nations that will enjoy the celebration of the greatest sporting event, as it will also have a South American flavor. As an homage to the first World Cup hosted in Uruguay in 1930, the first three matches will be hosted in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay.

The rest of the tournament will be played in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. This tournament will also be a first in a couple of ways.

Firstly, the World Cup has never been hosted by more than one continent, but 2030 will be different as it won’t just be hosted by two nations but will be celebrated by three. It will also have the most number of host nations, six in total, who won’t have to go through the qualifiers of the tournament.

Also, it will continue the tradition of the 48-nation tournament, which will start in the World Cup of 2026, hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada.

Regarding the future, FIFA specifically stated that the 2034 World Cup will be hosted in Asia or Oceania regions as they are looking for associated bids from the nations of those continents.
