Hyundai is the second largest car manufacturer in India with over 55,000 units sold in the month of October 2023. As usual, Maruti Suzuki tops the chart and Tata is at third position. However, the gap between Tata Motors and Mahindra are slowly narrowing with later continuously increasing production capacity to meet the rising demand. Kia has also managed to beat Toyota to regain the 5th position in the list of top car manufacturers in October 2023.

Hyundai Sales Breakup Oct 2023

The Korean automaker has reported total sales of 55,128 in October 2023 as against 48,001 units in the same month last year, reporting a year-on-year sales growth of 15%. The Creta is the brand’s best-selling model with 13,077 units sold in October 2023 as against 11,880 units in the same month last year, reporting a YoY sales growth of 10.08%.

New Venue

Hyundai Venue is the second best-selling model with 11,581 units sold in Oct 2023 as against 9,585 units in the same month last year, registering a significant growth of 20.82%. Hyundai has also sold 8,097 units and 7,212 units of the Exter micro SUV and the i20 hatchback, respectively, in the month of October 2023. The company has sold 6,552 units of the Grand i10 Nios and the 4,096 units of the Aura last month. Hyundai has also sold 117 units of the Ioniq 5 electric crossover.

The homegrown UV maker has sold 43,708 utility vehicles in October 2023 against 32,186 units in the same month last year, registering an impressive sales growth of 36 per cent. The company sold 13,578 units of the Scorpio nameplate (Scorpio N + Scorpio Classic) last month as against 7438 units in Oct 2022. Mahindra sold 9647 units and 9,297 units of the Bolero and the XUV700, respectively, in October 2023. The company has also managed to sell 5,593 units of the Thar lifestyle SUV last month.

New Kia Seltos Prices

The Korean brand has registered total sales of 24,351 units in October 2023 compared to 23,323 units in the same month last year, registering a YoY sales growth of 4 per cent. The company sold 12,362 units of the new Seltos and 5,355 units of the Carens MPV last month. The Sonet and EV6 contribute 6,493 units and 141 units respectively in October 2023.
