Report: Bayern Munich prepping to give Leroy Sané a big offer, contract extension

Leroy Sané has been, without a trace of doubt, one of Bayern Munich’s best performers so far this season, if not the best. If it was not for Harry Kane breaking scoring records in the Bundesliga and at Bayern like it was his job, it would be a lot easier to suggest Sané is the main man so far this season, but there is simply no denying the magnificence the England skipper is showing in front of goal.

So far, Sané has tallied 8 goals and 6 assists from a total of 11 appearances so far this season. It is his best start to a season at Bayern ever since he joined from Manchester City and he has sparked quite the electric partnership with Kane in Bayern’s attacking line.

Sané is one of the players at the top of Bayern’s list for the players that they want to have contracts renewed for, as his current deal is set to expire in June 2025. His agent is reportedly in Munich this week to initiate discussions about a contract extension.

Per information from football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (as per @iMiaSanMia), Bayern is prepared to offer Sané a new, long-term deal that will include a decent salary increase, plus add-ons. This would make him one of the club’s top earners alongside Kane, and there was initially an internal fear at Bayern that they would not be able to offer him enough of a pay bump to convince him to stay, especially knowing that there are clubs abroad heavily interested in trying to sign him.

With that in mind, Bayern are ready to offer a lucrative new deal for their #10 and it could prove to be an incredibly wise investment to do so with the way Sané has been performing this season. He looks completely reinvigorated as far as confidence is concerned and there are not any known issues with his attitude or the way he carries himself from Thomas Tuchel’s point of view as well as the club’s.
