Let’s start with a confession. While I’m an ardent sports lover — make that cricket — I lay no claim to being an expert analyser of the game. But now that the World Cup has ended, I do want to say, I feel for Pakistan captain Babar Azam.
Azam deserves a commentary because in Pakistan, the world of cricket is so inextricably linked with politics. Azam has been both a beneficiary and a victim of politics.
