Shivpuri: Voting for the assembly elections took place on 17 November. Now counting of votes will be done on December 3. All preparations for counting of votes have been completed. Counting of votes will be done amidst tight arrangements.
The District Election Officer said that the counting of votes for the five assembly constituencies of the district, Karera, Pohri, Shivpuri, Pichor and Kolaras, will be held at the Government PG College, Shivpuri. Counting of votes will start at 8:00 am. In which the counting of postal ballots will start at 8 am. After this the counting of EVM machines will start at 8:30.

There will be 16 tables in each counting room
For counting of votes, 16 tables have been installed in each assembly-wise chamber. There will be four tables for postal ballot in Shivpuri assembly and three tables for Pichhor and two tables each for postal ballot in the rest of the assembly.
strong security arrangements
Tight security arrangements have been made at the counting venue. There will be a three-tier security system, in which SAF, police and CRPF forces will be deployed. Officers, employees, counting agents and media representatives engaged in counting will be given entry only with the admit card.
Mobile phones and smoking banned
Mobile phones and other electronic devices will not be allowed in the counting venue. Not only this, smoking of beedi, cigarette, tobacco of any kind will be prohibited.
