There has been a constant verbal war between the BRS and Congress leaders in Telangana for the last few months. Ever since Congress came into power, it has been accusing BRS of misusing power over the last 10 years and committing corruption in various projects.
On the other side, BRS leaders also counter-attacked the ruling government in their own style at public meetings, party meetings and Assembly discussions.
The war has now reached social media, taking an ugly turn. Recently, the official X handle of Telangana Congress posted an image featuring a pink car. In the morphed picture, Kavitha is depicted sitting on the top of the car, with KCR, KTR, Harish Rao, and Santosh Kumar standing beside it.
Congress came up with the title “Car-u Chowka Gang” and the caption “Dopidi Chala Costly Guru”, for this poster. It also featured the tagline “Chowkabaru Matalu…Chowkabaru Veshalu.”
As a counter-attack against Congress, BRS created a morphed poster of the “Kajrare” song, wherein Rajiv Gandhi’s face replaces Abhishek Bachchan’s, and Sonia Gandhi’s replaces Aishwarya Rai’s. It also added the tagline “Bar Dancer Party”, to the poster.
Meanwhile, netizens have opined that both BRS and Congress have stooped to a low level by engaging in dirty politics on social media. They are asking both parties to uphold some dignity.
