It’s official. Kangana Ranaut, a vocal BJP supporter, is finally contesting the polls. The Bharatiya Janata Party today released a new list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, which included Kangana.
Kangana Ranaut will contest from her hometown of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
The 37-year-old actor thanked the party.
Kangana Ranaut is a known admirer of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and she has made disparaging remarks about the BJP’s opponents. Political analysts predicted that she would join BJP. It became a reality.
“My beloved Bharat and Bhartiya Janta’s own party, Bharatiya Janta party (BJP) has always had my unconditional support, today the national leadership of BJP has announced me as their Loksabha candidate from my birth place Himachal Pradesh, Mandi (constituency) I abide by the high command’s decision on contesting Lok Sabha polls,” she said.
