Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor, who will be seen debuting into Tollywood with Jr NTR’s “Devara”, recently faced a wave of trolling on social media after a video of her practicing cricket went viral. To promote her today’s releasing film “Mr & Mrs. Mahi”, the actress released a behind-the-scenes video recently, and it got trolled too.
The video showed Janhvi, dressed in a cricket outfit, batting and bowling with a group of friends. However, instead of appreciating her enthusiasm for the sport, many users on social media began to troll her, calling her a “fake” and saying that she was only doing it for publicity by playing it with a ‘tennis ball’.
The actress stated that she was using a tennis ball because she wanted to improve her hand-eye coordination and timing. She also mentioned that she was not using a cricket ball because she wanted to avoid any injuries, especially to her hands and fingers.
“Got injured after playing with a cricket ball, and then started practicing with a tennis ball,” Janhvi said. The actress also received support from her mother, Sridevi, fans, who remembered her mother’s iconic cricket scene in the movie “Mr.India” and praised Janhvi for carrying on the family tradition.
On the other hand, Mr And Mrs Mahi received a good talk from A-centres for its beautiful emotions, and we have to see how the collections are likely to be.
