NTR’s Devara, originally set for release in October, will now come out sooner. The film will hit theaters on September 27, 2024, according to the makers. Directed by Koratala Siva, ‘Devara Part 1’ features Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in key roles.
Interestingly, this new release date coincides with the release date of NTR’s first hit movie, ‘Student No. 1,’ which came out on September 27, 2001, directed by SS Rajamouli.

There’s a belief in the industry that actors can’t deliver a hit immediately after a blockbuster with SS Rajamouli, a supposed curse that began with ‘Student No. 1.’
By releasing ‘Devara’ on September 27, the same date ‘Student No. 1’ was released, there’s hope that the curse might be broken.

The curse that started on September 27, 2001, might end on September 27, 2024.
Moreover, September 27 is a great date with several holidays following it, including Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 and the Dussehra festival holidays. This gives Devara plenty of time to perform well at the box office, not just in Telugu states but also in Hindi belts.
