One annoying issue is that you have to go to the car and test the key fob. Usually, key fobs have a small red light that flashes whenever a button is pressed but this one does not.

Key fob battery replacement
The battery in the key fob was due for a replacement. It was very easy.
Tools needed: Small flat-head screwdriver, replacement battery.
Opening was time-consuming since I was scared of breaking the key fob.
Step 1:
Remove the key from the key fob by pressing the key release button
Step 2:
Insert a small flat-head screwdriver into the rectangular hole highlighted. Run it around the border of the key. Pry it open gently as springs (used for the release button) might fly out.
Step 3:
Now that it is open, replace the battery with a CR2032 battery, I paid 50₹ for my replacement Panasonic one. The original was by Maxwell. Positive terminal is labelled.
My replacement battery had a textured negative terminal, it isn’t an issue.
Step 4:
Make sure the button used to release the key is aligned properly (it has a slight curve to it) with the other shell. Close the shells together.
