Well, driving as part of the convoy of these lovely two-door coupes and convertibles was spectacular. Weather was great!

BHPian androdev recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Porsche Bangalore had organised a “Sportscar Drive” event this Friday. It was a drive from Sheraton (Brigade Gateway) Bangalore to Evolve Back Hampi with an overnight stay – restricted to their 2-door sports cars. I usually decline luxury car type invitations as I don’t want them to find out I’m an imposter, but this was too tempting a proposition. The fact that our fellow Bhpian Porsche owner @Naman_Ferrari was also attending gave me that final nudge to sign up!

Well, driving as part of the convoy of these lovely two-door coupes and convertibles was spectacular. Weather was great! India may lack the amazing roads that we envy but, boy, the freedom on our roads is priceless. I know, it’s a politically incorrect thing to say but whatever! This was clearly a once in a lifetime kind of experience for me. I don’t think I will ever get a chance again to go on a long drive in a group of nearly 30 sports cars and take over the highways like the way we did!

Sorry about the lousy picture quality – it’s very difficult to capture these photos on the move.

Six 911s in a spontaneous two row formation – includes a yellow GT3 and two silver Turbo S. The sixth one is mine, not seen in the pic 😉 The sound of GT3 reverberates so menacingly – you never get tired of hearing it.

Wish I could claim the GT3 and Turbo S were a spec in my rear view mirror – everyone was courteous to let other drivers pass and still enjoy those occasional bursts of vroom!

Sports cars in a tunnel – a better love story would never be written. Too bad the tunnel was a short one!

The windmills of sustainability and the rainbow of global warming

Winding roads, a traffic pile up one wouldn’t complain about.

The imposter, ready to head home!
