Sudanese National Among Four Arrested in Hyderabad Drug Bust |

Hyderabad: Four persons, including a Sudanese national, were nabbed by the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) for peddling drugs in the city.
Hyderabad police commissioner CV Anand said that 24-year-old Mohammed Abdul Osman from Sudan came to India on a student visa in 2016. He later went back to his country, but travelled to Hyderabad on multiple occasions.
In July 2024, Osman came to the city and started living in Tolichowki. To meet expenses incurred as part of his lifestyle, he began buying drugs from his friends from Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, and other places and became a peddler. He would purchase drugs at a cheap rate, and sell them for a profit at higher prices, Anand said. The accused was caught at Humayun Nagar, and 50gm of MDMA was seized.
In a separate case, the other three accused, who were operating a different drug network, were caught in Kanchanbagh. An inter-state drug supplier, Nanda Kumar from Bengaluru, was caught along with two Hyderabad-based peddlers, Mohammed Imran and K Naveen.
Imran is a repeat offender, as he was previously caught by Nampally police in Feb for possession of hash oil. The two peddlers from Hyderabad used to visit Kumar in Bengaluru to purchase drugs. From them, police seized 80gm of MDMA and 10 blots of LSD.
