CM Accuses Opposition of Misleading Group-I Exam Candidates on Reservations | Hyderabad News

CM slams Oppn for ‘misleading’ people on Group-I mains process

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday criticised the opposition for misleading candidates of Group-I exams over reservation categories.
The CM said that of the 31,383 selected candidates, less than 10% were from upper castes, while 57.11% were BCs, 15.38% SCs, 8.87% STs and 8.84% under the EWS quota. Only 20 candidates were selected under the sports quota, he said.
Speaking at a meeting with party leaders at Gandhi Bhavan, the CM pointed out that none of the Group-I aspirants approached the court either during the issuance of GO, notification, or after announcement of prelims results. However, a section of aspirants approached the court on GO 29 to prevent the main exam, but even the Supreme Court dismissed their petition, the CM said.
Despite numerous obstacles created by the opposition, the Congress govt completed the DSC and Group-I main exams. Appointment letters were also given to DSC candidates, he said.
The state govt has provided 50,000 job letters in 10 months, he said.
