Skoda Kylaq, the upcoming sub-4-metre SUV from the Czech automaker, recently made its global debut in India. The model lineup will come in four trims – Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige – priced from Rs 7.89 lakh onwards. The complete price list is yet to be revealed. All trims are equipped with a 1.0L turbo petrol engine delivering a maximum power of 115 bhp. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Kylaq is claimed to go from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 10.5 seconds.
In the overcrowded subcompact SUV segment, the Kylaq will compete with several models, including the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger. Will the Skoda Kylaq be able to challenge these vehicles and establish its place in the sub-4-metre SUV space? Well, it all depends on the price and value offered by each of its variants. Let’s take a look at what each variant has to offer.
