Mahabubnagar: As many as 10 students from the 2023 batch were suspended by the Mahabubnagar Medical College for ragging juniors till December 1. Though, the incident occurred on November 10, it came to light on Thursday.
After feeling humiliated, the juniors approached the management and lodged a complaint. The college management verified the surveillance cameras footage and counseled the senior students, according to reports.
Stressing that no such incidents would be tolerated in the campus, College Director Ramesh asked the junior students to approach the management, if they were being ragged or if someone misbehaved with them, the reports said.
The management also claimed that a committee was constituted and it was decided to intensify surveillance in the campus, especially during nights. It may be recalled similar ragging incidents came to light in the campus last year and the management is now taking the issue more seriously and students were warned with stern action.
