Hyderabad

Telangana Congress president Mahesh Kumar Goud asked tribals to take the development message of the Congress party to every nook and corner of the State to counter the negative propaganda of Opposition parties and expose the ‘corruption’ under BRS government.

Addressing the Adivasi Congress meeting at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, Mr. Mahesh Goud charged the BRS with indulging in falsehood to mislead people through its social media handles. The BRS is afraid that the huge corruption of its rule was being dug by the Congress government, he said.

Despite the ₹7 lakh crore debt thrust on the State by BRS, the Congress government had initiated several welfare measures that need to be taken to people, he said, adding that ₹18,000 crore farm loan waiver, done a couple of months ago, and an additional ₹3,000 crore loan waiver declared on Saturday, showed the commitment of the Congress towards farmers.

50,000 jobs

He credited the government with providing 50,000 government jobs in 10 months, and said that BRS could not do the same in 10 years of rule.

Camp in Sagar

Senior Congress leader Koppula Raju said that a week-long camp will be organised in Nagarjunasagar soon, to discuss tribal issues and solve their problems. More than 10 issues have been identified and decisions will be taken after a thorough discussion. TPCC Adivasi Congress Chairman Bellaiah Naik also spoke.
