Hyderabad: Accepting a plea for custodial interrogation, a local court in Vikarabad district sent B Suresh, accused of playing a key role in instigating violence against govt officials during a protest against the SEZ in Lagacherla, to two days in police custody.
A similar request to question former Kodangal MLA Patnam Narender Reddy in police custody was deferred for further hearing on December 5. Both Narender and Suresh are in judicial remand as prime accused in the case.
Meanwhile, the bail petition of 20 farmers arrested by police was heard. Advocate Jakkula Laxman, told TOI, “I informed the court that farmers have been in judicial remand for 21 days. I also pointed out inconsistencies in the medical reports as grounds for bail.”tnn
