Vijayawada: The ongoing revenue meetings will continue across the state until all revenue-related issues are resolved, said special chief secretary RP Sisodia on Friday. He participated in a revenue meeting held at Pedapalaparru village under Mudinepalli mandal in Eluru district. Following directions from chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the revenue department has launched village-level meetings to address the grievances of people.
The govt planned to rectify lands incorrectly recorded under section 22A. The revenue meetings received 1.35 lakh petitions to date, Sisodia said and confirmed that issues pending in courts will not be addressed through these meetings. He noted that survey errors in villages will be corrected, and petitions at meetings will be processed without fees.
Kaikaluru MLA Kamineni Srinivas called for solutions to vyvaka lands in the constituency. He raised concerns about Kolleru lands, where occupants cannot claim ownership despite paying taxes. Villagers reported problems with joint LPMs issued for multiple lands after the resurvey conducted during the previous govt, which resulted in multiple disputes among landowners. They also mentioned issues regarding the combination of patta lands with gram kantham lands.
The meeting saw participation from Eluru district joint collector Dathri Reddy, Eluru RDO Ambareesh, Mudinepalli tahsildar Subani, former Gudivada market yard chairman Challagulla Sobhanadri Chowdary, and other officials.
