The coming weeks are certainly action-packed for the Indian auto industry with the arrival of the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. The Auto Expo will witness multiple new product unveilings and launches from OEMs like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra, Kia, MG, Toyota, BYD, and more. Most of the upcoming models are SUVs, considering the high market demand. Some of the newly revealed products at the Auto Expo will hit showrooms in the next couple of months. Here’s a brief overview of 9 big SUVs, slated to launch by March 2025.

Hyundai Creta Electric

The Hyundai Creta Electric is set to hit showrooms on 17th January 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Show. When launched, the electric SUV will be available with two battery packs – 42kWh and 51.4kWh, delivering an ARAI-rated range of 390km and 473km, respectively. The smaller battery is paired with a front-axle-mounted electric motor producing 135bhp, while the larger battery is equipped with a 171bhp electric motor. The Long-Range version with the 51.4kWh battery can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.9 seconds. By using the 11kW AC and DC fast chargers, the batteries can be charged in just four hours (10 to 100 percent) and 58 minutes (10 to 80 percent), respectively.
Kia Syros

The Kia Syros, a premium subcompact SUVwill go on sale on 1st February 2025. The model will make its first public appearance at this year’s Auto Expo. Bookings for the vehicle are already underway nationwide with a token sum of Rs 25,000. It’s one of the much-awaited upcoming SUVs, estimated to be priced under Rs 10 lakh. The carmaker has confirmed that the Syros will come with two engine options – 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel. The gasoline unit, paired with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, delivers a maximum power of 120bhp and 172Nm of torque. The diesel unit produces 116bhp and 250Nm. It is offered with two transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Mahindra BE 6/XEV 9e

Mahindra & Mahindra will launch two new electric SUVs in January 2025 – the BE 6 and XEV 9e. The entry-level Pack 1 variant of both EVs is priced at Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 21.90 lakh, respectively. Prices for the other variants will be revealed at this year’s Auto Expo. The Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e, which benefit from BYD’s Blade cell technology, are available with 59kWh and 79kWh battery options with a single electric motor as standard. Mahindra claims that the higher-spec versions of these EVs accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 6.7 seconds. The smaller and larger batteries return a claimed range of 556km and 682km, respectively. The electric SUVs can be charged via three different chargers – a 11.2kW AC charger, a 7.3kWh AC charger, and a 175kW DC fast charger.
Skoda Kylaq

Skoda Auto has already revealed the prices for its new subcompact Kylaq SUV. The model lineup comes in four trims – Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige – and two engine-gearbox combinations – petrol-manual and petrol-automatic. Prices for the petrol manual variants start at Rs 7.89 lakh and go up to Rs 13.35 lakh, while the petrol automatic variants are priced between Rs 10.59 lakh and Rs 14.40 lakh. All variants are powered by a 1.0L turbo petrol engine producing a maximum power of 115bhp and 178Nm of torque. The new Skoda Kylaq accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 10.5 seconds. With its top-end Prestige automatic trim, you get paddle shifters as well.
Maruti and Vitara

The Maruti and Vitarathe first-ever EV from the Indo-Japanese automaker, will make its India debut at the 2025 Auto Expo in New Delhi. The EV’s market launch will take place in March. The e Vitara has been designed on the new skateboard Heartect-e platform and comes with two battery options – 49kWh and 61kWh. The single electric motor is standard across the model lineup, while the dual-motor AWD AllGrip-e setup is reserved for the 61kWh battery pack. The range figure for the EV has yet to be revealed. However, the carmaker has confirmed that the e Vitara delivers 144bhp with the smaller battery and 174bhp with the larger battery pack. The 61kWh dual-motor AWD version produces 184bhp and 300Nm.
Tata Harrier EV

The Tata Harrier EV will be the first product launch from the homegrown automaker in 2025. The EV will be displayed at the Bharat Mobility Show, with its launch likely to happen by March 2025. Interestingly, fresh media reports suggest that the new Tata electric SUV will come with a 75kWh battery pack and dual-motor AWD configuration. However, this setup will be exclusively offered in the top-end ‘Empowered’ trim. Its range is expected to be around 500km on a full charge. The Harrier EV will feature a slightly different look from its ICE version. While the bodyshell, platform, and most of the design elements will remain unchanged, it will feature a blanked-out front grille and aero-optimized alloy wheels. The EV will come with V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) charging capabilities.
MG Mifa 9

The MG Mifa 9 will be the first product sold via MG Select’s premium dealership network in the country. Prior to its official launch, this luxury electric MPV will make its debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. For those not in the know, the Mifa 9 is already on sale under the Maxus brand in the UK and Chinese markets. The powertrain setup of the MPV consists of a 90kWh lithium-ion battery paired with a front-mounted electric motor. It comes with a front-wheel drive (FWD) system. The electric motor produces a maximum power of 245bhp and 350Nm of torque. The Mifa 9 is claimed to deliver a WLTP range of 430km on a single charge. Dimensionally, this luxury MPV is larger than the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire. It will be offered in both 7 and 8-seat configurations.
Sealion WORLD 7

BYD will showcase the Sealion 7 electric coupe SUV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show, with a launch expected by March. In India, it will rival the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. Globally, it is available with 82.5kWh and 91.3kWh battery options, delivering a maximum range of up to 502km. Both FWD and RWD systems are offered. This electric coupe SUV measures 4.8 meters in length and comes with features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and heated front seats, four-zone voice control, a rotating 15.6-inch center screen, HUD, OTA updates, a customizable driver’s seat with electric lumbar and leg support, a 12-speaker Dynaudio system, and many more premium features.
