Two arrested for peddling heroin | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: The Special Operations Team (SOT), Rachakonda, on Thursday arrested two individuals involved in peddling of heroin and seized 190 grams of the contraband from their possession.
The accused, identified as Mahesh and Mahipal, both natives of Rajasthan, were supplying drugs using transport aggregators. Police also recovered valuables worth 23 lakh from the duo.
“Mahesh, a resident of Sainik Nagar in Neredmet, and a native of Bheeyasar in Rajasthan, established contact with one Samsuddin, who supplied him heroin worth 1 lakh. The payment was made through an e-wallet,” said Rachakonda police commissioner Sudheer Babu.
Mahesh travelled to Hyderabad by train and stayed with his friend Mahipal in Sainik Nagar. “The duo planned to sell the drug locally. Using a transport aggregator, they packed and delivered the contraband to consumers,” police added. Officials have identified several customers and are working to trace more abusers linked to the accused.
