A joyride on the recently inaugurated four-km long Aramghar to Zoo Park flyover in Hyderabad turned fatal for three teenagers early on Tuesday (January 28, 2025). The trio was killed after their speeding two-wheeler crashed into the divider of the flyover in Aramghar.
The deceased were identified as 14-year-old Maaz, 16-year-old Imran, and 14-year-old Ahmed, all residents of Old City in Hyderabad. According to Attapur police inspector G. Venkat Rami Reddy, the trio was travelling from Old City towards Aramghar between 12.30 a.m – 1 a.m.
“The speeding two wheeler lost control and crashed into the street light pole and divider. While Maaz died on the spot, others succumbed while being shifted to the hospital,” the official explained.
Hearing the sound of the crash, police officials from the nearby traffic police station of Rajendranagar rushed to the spot. A case was booked and an investigation initiated. A police officer said that this is the first accident reported on Aramghar flyover after its inauguration earlier in January.
