The Toronto Maple Leafs dropped their final game before a two-week break for the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off tournament on Saturday night in Vancouver against the Canucks, losing 2-1.

Despite the defeat, that wasn’t the moment that captured the attention of fans on social media post-game.

A video posted by the user ‘NiqhilVelji’ on X provided context behind an incident during a TV timeout where a masked streaker, wearing a full-body green spandex suit — reminiscent of the famous ‘Green Men’ — made their way onto the ice.

As seen in the 19-second-long clip, the unusual scene unfolded when the streaker climbed over the glass, slipping and falling on the ice before being escorted off the surface by the officials.

The Leafs’ players, huddled around the bench, could be seen watching the encounter as the streaker flared their arms up in the air like they just didn’t care. However, their brief moment in the spotlight ended quickly.

The incident draws comparisons to the iconic ‘Green Men,’ the Vancouver duo known for their antics during the Canucks’ home games in the 2010s.

The ‘Green Men,’ better known as Force (Adam Forsyth) and Sully (Ryan Sullivan), are known for sitting beside the opposing team’s penalty box during Canucks games at Rogers Arena wearing green full-body spandex suits, making their first appearance on December 22, 2009.

The duo returned to Rogers Arena in February 2024, a year ago, after an eight-year hiatus.

It’s presumed that this was neither of Force nor Sully, as their return was welcomed in their usual positions, while this was unorthodox.
