Hyderabad: In a tragic incident at Abdullapurmet on Monday, a four-year-old girl died after choking on peanuts. The young victim B Taanvika, resided with her parents at Laskerguda, in Abdullapurmet on city suburbs. On Sunday evening, the girl purchased peanuts from a vendor and while eating them, she felt suffocated.
On noticing her daughter’s condition, the mother rushed her to a local hospital and later shifted to Niloufer Hospital, Nampally where she passed away during treatment on Monday, said Abdullapurmet sub inspector, P Madhava.
The doctors told the family members that the peanuts choked the respiratory system of the girl resulting in her death, the sub inspector added.
A case is registered.
