
Relatives take shelter under trees as candidates appear for the Telangana Engineering Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAPCET) in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (EAPCET) began on Tuesday with 92.74% attendance recorded in the forenoon session and 93.53% attendance recorded in the afternoon session. A total of 28,834 candidates had registered for the Agriculture and Pharmacy (A&P) stream.
The two-day exam will test candidates in the A&P stream. The May 2-5 exam will test candidates in the Engineering stream.
According to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad, the exam authority on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), Day One test concluded smoothly. Elaborate arrangements were made in over 100 centres across the State.
As per the attendance report, Adilabad zone, with a least allotted candidate count of 100, recorded 100% attendance in the afternoon session on Tuesday. Hyderabad, divided into four zones, had the highest strength of nearly 19,700 candidates.
TGCHE Chairman V. Balakista Reddy, JNTU-H Vice-Chancellor Kishen Kumar Reddy, Convenor of EAPCET B. Dean Kumar and five other senior officials were present during the initial configuration drive of the computer-based test on Tuesday.
