HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath has asked officials to speed up the work at Bathukammakunta, which Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was expected to visit, before the Bathukamma festival. He was speaking during an inspection of the lake in Bagh Amberpet to check the progress of work, being taken up with a budget of Rs.7 crore.
Ranganath said that when HYDRAA were digging the soil to clean the lake, the remains of the old lake were clearly seen. He said that the state government was taking up this project with all seriousness and wanted it completed in time for the Bathukamma festival. He said that contractors should not face any problems, and HYDRAA staff should keep a close check on the progress of the work.
