Nizamabad: Mittapally Rithwika from Nizamabad has been selected to represent India at the International Swimming Competitions to be held in Berlin, Germany, from July 16 to 27. She secured a gold medal at the All India University Selection Trials for the 2025 World Universities Championship, held in Bengaluru on April 24 and 25. The results were announced on Tuesday.
Rithwika represented the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar, at the trials. State Swimming Association president Chandrasekhar Reddy, district president Gadila Ramulu and Mutyala Srinivas congratulated Rithwika and expressed hope that she would excel at the international event.
