A 50-year-old man, a Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) party worker, ended his life in Borabanda on Wednesday (May 28, 2025) night. Inspector of Borabanda police, M. Surender said that his family alleged that he was harassed by former Deputy Mayor and Congress leader Baba Fasiuddin — who is accused of repeatedly demanding money to permit construction activity.
“Mohd Sardar resided with his family in Borabanda. A few months ago, he built a house which was later demolished by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for building violations. Since then, the family claims, Sardar had been under pressure,” said the inspector. Based on their complaint, the Borabanda police registered a case and initiated an investigation.
