Mahindra & Mahindra introduced its first born-electric SUVs – BE 6 and XEV 9e – in November last year, with deliveries (only Pack 3) starting in mid-March. Within just two months, the carmaker has handed over 10,000 units of the electric SUVs to their respective customers. Both EVs have been received overwhelming response from buyers, and its evident from the fact that over 3,000 units of the BE6 and XEV 9e were dispatched in April alone.
The sales numbers are expected to increase further in the coming months as deliveries of the Pack Two and the entry-level Pack One will commence in July and August, respectively. Prices of the Mahindra BE6 start from Rs 18.90 lakh and go up to Rs 26.90 lakh, while the XEV 9e is priced between Rs 21.90 lakh and 30.50 lakh. Both these EVs are direct rivals of the newly-launched Tata Harrier EV.
