Two youths are feared to have drowned in Pamuleru stream under Maredumilli police limits in Alluri Sitharama Raju district on Saturday. A group of six, all native of Singh Nagar in Vijayawada City, was enjoying a bath in the stream.
“At around 3 p.m. on Saturday (June 14), a six-member group arrived at the Pamuleru stream to enjoy an outing. However, Sadish (23) and Katakam Ravi Teja (30) are feared to have drowned while they were enjoying a bath in the stream”, said Maredumilli Circle inspector Ch. Gopala Krishna.
The search operation is in progress and the family members have been communicated about the incident, he said. The police registered a case and the investigation is on.
