Sekhar Kammula’s Kuberaa starring Dhanush, King Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna has been in production for two years and the makers had to rush to the finish line with OTT Platform’s ultimatum. They are completing the post prodcution works for the film without sleep for the movie to have smooth release on 20th June.
Producer Asian Suniel Narang himself stated that Amazon Prime Video gave them 47 crores deal for OTT rights and gave an ultimatum that if they don’t release on 20th, then, the makers will have to give back 10 crores. So, the producers on tight schedules started finishing Tamil, Telugu and other language works.
Now, even Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom is facing such a restriction from OTT platform, say reports. The movie has been in production for long time and after announcing two release dates in May, they postponed due to post production works and unconfirmed re-shoots.
As the re-shoots need time, the makers have even postponed from 4th July date. Now, reports suggest that the OTT platform Netflix, have asked the makers to release it by 25th July, otherwise they will lose money on the deal. So, Kingdom makers have started last minute rush to the finish line, suggest reports.
Also, Vijay Deverakonda wants this to be his big comeback after many disasters at the box office and hence, he is doubly working hard and co-operating to the makers in every possible way, say reports. Gowtham Tinnanuri is directing the film with Naga Vamsi producing it and Anirudh Ravichander is scoring music for it.
