New 631 BHP Ferrari Amalfi coupe unveiled

New 631 BHP Ferrari Amalfi coupe unveiled Ferrari has unveiled the new Amalfi, the latest addition to the Prancing Horse’s model lineup. The new 2+2 front-engine coupe replaces the Roma. The Amalfi carries forward the silhouette of the outgoing Roma. The long sculpted bonnet and the rear haunches are almost identical to its predecessor. The new shark nose front end looks similar to the SF90 and the 12Cilindri. The front, devoid of a traditional grille, is distinguished by a floating body-coloured wing above a dark recessed band, discreetly integrating sensors and headlights. The rear features four tail lights hidden in distinct pods connected by a black trim piece. The rear windshield merges with the boot lip spoiler. The rear bumper houses a wide diffuser and quad exhaust pipes. The Amalfi features 20-inch alloy wheels with 245/35 R20 at the front and 285/35 R20 at the rear. The tyres are co-developed with two technical partners: Bridgestone Potenza Sport and Pirelli P ZERO. Dimensions-wise, the Amalfi measures 4,660 mm in length, 1,974 mm in width and 1,301 mm in height. It has a 2,670 mm wheelbase. The launch colour seen here is Verde Costiera – a teal green inspired by the reflections of the sea along the Amalfi coast. On the interior, the Amalfi gets a dual cockpit layout. The dashboard, for the first time, features a monolithic layout in which the instrument cluster and air vents are fused into a single block. The biggest change is the steering wheel where Ferrari has dropped haptic touch buttons for actual, physical controls. Better still, the haptic touch engine start button has been ditched in favour of a real button, mounted on the left side and made from titanium. Features include a 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless smartphone charger, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also available is an optional 1200W Burmester Premium sound system with 14 speakers. Powering the Amalfi is the same 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 that develops 631 BHP (19 more than the Roma) and 760 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch F1 gearbox. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 320 kph. Safety and ADAS features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, automatic high beam, traffic sign recognition and assistance and driver drowsiness and distraction detection, as well as optional Surround View and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
