HYDERABAD: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay on Tuesday demanded that the Congress govt in Telangana immediately remove reservations for Muslims, warning of widespread BJP-led protests across the state if the demand is not met.Speaking at a bicycle distribution event in Sircilla, he alleged that there is a deeper conspiracy behind the govt’s move to implement 42% quota for BCs and objected to the reported allocation of 10% reservations to Muslims under the BC quota, calling it “unjust and unconstitutional.” He accused the govt of attempting to mislead the public by allocating 10% of the total reservation quota to the 12% Muslim population, while limiting the remaining 32% to the 51% BC population in the state. “This is nothing but a cover-up of the truth,” he said.
