Kurnool: Minister for endowments Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said the state government’s Super Six flagship welfare schemes have earned public trust, despite initial scepticism. He credited this support for the NDA’s electoral success and said the guarantees were being implemented in every mandal of the Panyam constituency.
He made these remarks while participating in the Suparipālanalō Tholi Adugu programme at Durvesi village in Gadivemula mandal, Nandyal district, on Wednesday. During his interaction with locals, the minister made several development-related announcements. Responding to public appeals, he assured that a temple dedicated to Goddess Sunkulamma would be constructed in the village.
Criticising the previous YSRC government, Anam alleged that former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had his photograph printed on farmers’ passbooks and claimed his administration attempted to classify vast extents of private agricultural land as government property to secure loans.
Under the NDA government’s welfare vision, the minister announced that free bus travel for women will commence across the state from August 15. He also announced the launch of Adabidda Nidhi, a financial assistance scheme aimed at supporting women.
“The government will stand by every girl child until her marriage or employment through this initiative,” he said. Praising Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, he added, “He is a leader who keeps his promises, not one who misleads the public with false assurances.”
Regarding endowment affairs, the minister declared a monthly honorarium of Rs 10,000 for priests performing Dhoopa Deepa Naivedyam rituals. He also said Rs 43 crore had been sanctioned for 47 temples in the district, along with Rs 4 crore for the Kalvabugga project. Local leaders and officials were present at the programme.
