Why we picked the Skoda Kylaq over a used Q3, X1, and Polo TSI

Although the car does miss some useful features like 360 degree camera and remote window operation, we love the fact that it comes with ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats

Bhpian Suhaas307 recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

After several months of discussions and shortlisting various cars, right from used Audis and BMWs (Q2/Q3, X1), Polos (post 2020 – 1.0 TSI), to new cars like the Venue N-Line, Toyota Taisor / Maruti Fronx, we finally settled on a new Kylaq 1.0 TSI Prestige AT, and added it to our garage a few weeks ago.

Why we picked the Skoda Kylaq over a used Q3, X1, and Polo TSI

Primary use case is short city commutes and the occasional long distance drive, with just enough space for a 3rd or 4th passenger. A compact car is what we needed, with a smooth engine and transmission.

Although the car does miss some useful features like 360 degree camera and remote window operation, we love the fact that it comes with ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats.

Post delivery, we sent the car to our friends at The Gloss Factor for PPF application – since it’s a black car that will spend most of its time jostling peak CBD traffic. We also took this opportunity to wrap the chrome trim on the exterior door handles with gloss black PPF.

Also, we elected to swap the CEAT tyres for Bridgestone Turanza 6i at Madhus, for obvious reasons.

Besides these changes, the car will remain largely stock, for as long as the factory warranty is active.

We think our new black Kylaq compliments my other car quite well!
