Andhra Pradesh DSC 2025 Merit List: In a remarkable feat, 21 candidates from Ternekal village in Kurnool district have secured teaching posts

The much-awaited Andhra Pradesh District Selection Committee (DSC) 2025 teacher recruitment merit list was released by the Department of School Education on August 23. This year’s recruitment aims to fill 16,347 teaching posts across categories including School Assistants (SAs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs), and Physical Education Teachers (PETs).
In a remarkable achievement, 21 candidates from Ternekal village in Kurnool district, have secured teaching posts in the merit list. Coming from underprivileged backgrounds, the candidates worked with dedication and discipline to reach this milestone, drawing widespread attention and praise.
Selection Process and Vacancies
Following the written examination, the merit-based selection process concluded with the release of the final list on Saturday evening, August 23. In the joint Kurnool district alone, 2,645 posts, including SGT, School Assistants (in Telugu, Hindi, English, Physical Science, Biological Science, Mathematics, and Social Studies), TGT, and PET, were filled. Selected candidates have been notified directly.
Certificate Verification Centres
To streamline the process, special verification centres have been set up in Kurnool. SGT candidates will undergo verification at Rayalaseema University, School Assistant (Language) candidates at Sri Raghavendra B.Ed College near Nannur, and School Assistant (Non-Language) candidates at Srinivasa B.Ed College near Nannur. A total of 54 teams have been deployed to complete the verification efficiently.
Pride for Ternekal Village
Of the 21 successful candidates from Ternekal, 17 qualified for SGT posts, one for PET, and three for School Assistant roles. Adding to the celebrations, six youths from the same village recently secured constable positions through the Constable Eligibility Test.
The village came together to celebrate this collective success, honouring the candidates for their perseverance. Their achievement has not only brought pride to Ternekal but also inspired other young aspirants in the region to pursue government jobs with renewed determination.
