Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh has emerged as India’s most attractive investment destination, energy minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar said. Highlighting the state’s strategic advantages — including a long coastline, uninterrupted power supply, robust road and port connectivity, and world-class airports — he positioned AP as a gateway for global investors.During his official visit to France, minister Ravi Kumar led a delegation and hosted a roadshow in Paris to showcase Andhra Pradesh’s vast investment potential. He extended a special invitation to French industrialists to attend the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15.The minister underscored the state’s business-friendly governance, rapid project execution, and investor-centric policies. Andhra Pradesh’s reputation for “Speed of Doing Business,” coupled with its infrastructure and incentives, was a key highlight of the delegation’s pitch.Ravi Kumar also spotlighted opportunities in industrial corridors, renewable energy, logistics, and port-led development. He credited chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s visionary leadership for transforming AP into a hub of futuristic infrastructure, including the development of Amaravati as a global-standard capital city.Reassuring global investors, the minister added, “The govt of Andhra Pradesh will provide full support and cooperation to French companies investing in the state.” He held discussions with EDF, one of France’s leading renewable energy firms, and invited them to explore partnerships in solar, wind, and hybrid power projects. He also announced that the world’s largest renewable energy pumped storage plant is coming up in Andhra Pradesh.
