Rahul Ramakrishna decides to not indulge in political comments

Rahul Ramakrishna became hugely popular with his portrayals in Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam as a comic actor. His turnout in Jathi Ratnalu and consequent films have kept in top demand. But the actor has been grappled with controversies due to his comments several times.

Recently, he commented against Telangana Government stating that the bad shape of roads during rains has frustrated him to the core. He wished for his favorite leader’s governance to be back in the state against current one. He retracted those statements stating that many seasoned leaders have “made him understand” issues.

He tweeted, “Greater minds than mine have long grappled with social problems. What do I know about governance and administration? I’m just a small actor. After several long phone calls with seasoned leaders from the entire political spectrum, I have come to realise that my angst and my frustration is misplaced. I only wish the best for our land and it’s people, regardless of who runs the system and how. It is my duty to participate with the system and not limit myself to mere critiques.”

Further he stated that he would remain to his films as an actor and never indulge in political commentary. He said, “And until such time in the future comes where I can fully immerse myself and what little skills I have in solving the problems that plague us all, I will recuse myself from this Twitter activism. Expect only the best possible work on screen from me henceforth.”

Well, he seems to have “discussed” with several leaders and even faced their wrath to have taken this decision. It would be better to point out problems in the city rather than taking sides. Maybe as a neutral, he may still bring out problems using his reach and popularity.
