According to media reports, TVS is likely to announce the launch of the Apache RTX 300 ADV on October 15. The RTX 300 will be TVS’ first adventure bike. It will also be the first model to use the new RT-XD4 engine. It’s a 299cc, single-cylinder unit that produces 34.5 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. The engine is likely to be paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch. The bike is likely to be equipped with a USD fork in the front and a mono-shock in the rear, while braking duties will be handled by disc brakes. The RTX 300 will feature a semi-faired design with an upright windshield, raised handlebars, a 2-piece stepped seat, and a luggage rack. It is expected to get features like a TFT display, ride modes, and traction control. The new TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to compete with the KTM 250 Adventure in the Indian market.
