An auction for open residential plots in Hyderabad is scheduled to be held on October 28 (Tuesday). The auction will also cover plots in Rangareddy district, including Thorrur and Kurmalguda.
According to official sources, 18 plots located in Bahadurpally, Hyderabad, will go under the hammer. These plots range between 197 and 972 square yards, with a starting price between ₹27,000 and ₹30,000 per square yard. The auction will take place between 3 pm and 6 pm on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, auctions for open plots in Thorrur and Kurmalguda will be conducted from October 28 to 30. In Thorrur, the plots range from 200 to 500 square yards, while in Kurmalguda, they range between 200 and 300 square yards. The base price has been set at ₹25,000 per square yard in Thorrur and ₹20,000 per square yard in Kurmalguda.
The real estate sector in Hyderabad continues to show strong momentum. Recently, a 7.67-acre land parcel in Survey No. 83/1, located in the Knowledge City layout of Raidurg, was auctioned at a record ₹177 crore per acre, setting a new benchmark. This surpassed the previous high of ₹100.75 crore per acre at Neopolis, Kokapet, during earlier HMDA auctions.
Adding to this growth story, housing sales in Hyderabad surged by 53% during the July–September 2025 quarter, according to data from PropTiger. The city recorded 17,658 housing units sold in the third quarter of FY2025, up from 11,564 units during the same period last year.
While new housing launches fell by 5% across India, Hyderabad defied the national trend with a 47% rise, registering 12,530 new units this quarter compared to 8,546 units a year ago.
Hyderabad’s upcoming plot auctions, coupled with record-breaking land deals and rising home sales, reflect the city’s growing dominance in India’s real estate market. The strong demand and investor interest signal continued confidence in Hyderabad’s expanding urban landscape.
