Man held for stealing cash, gold ornaments at employer’s house in Hyderabad


Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police on Tuesday arrested a person on charges committing a theft in a house at Karkhana.

The arrested person Aadesh Guptha, a resident of Kamasin Khurd at Maharajganj in Uttar Pradesh was working as a carpenter. Gold ornaments weighing 480 grams approximately along with a net cash of Rs.99,000, all worth Rs.35 lakh were recovered from his possession.

Aadesh Guptha was employed as a carpenter at the residence of complainant P. Sundaram at Gunrock Enclave. While working at the house, Guptha discovered the keys to an almirah. He seized an opportunity when the house was unoccupied and using keys he opened the almirah and stole gold ornaments and cash.

North Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police, S. Rashmi Perumal, appealed to the public to be cautious while engaging workers, to know detailed information about the workers engaged and to take care of valuables and to report suspicious activities if any in their neighbourhood to the police.
